US 99.5 LIVE COUNTRY FOR KIDS CONCERT SERIES featuring KEITH URBAN RAISES $60,000 FOR ST JUDE CHILDREN’S RESEARCH HOSPITAL
Grammy Award® winner and reigning Country Music Association (CMA) Male Vocalist of the Year Keith Urban made a very special, intimate concert appearance with his band at The Chicago Theatre on February 8, 2007 as part of the US 99.5 Live Country For Kids Concert Series. Prior to the concert, a check for $50,000 in proceeds from the concert event was presented to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis, TN, one of the world’s premiere centers for research and treatment of catastrophic diseases in children. Kristen Simon from St. Jude was on hand to accept the check backstage from Keith Urban, who then designated that he would also contribute proceeds from merchandise sales, which raised the evening’s contribution to $60,000 in total. Mike Peterson and Drew Walker from US 99.5, Duff Rice of Duff Entertainment and Karen Vock of The Chicago Theatre joined Keith Urban for the pre-show presentation to St. Jude.
The US 99.5 Live Country for Kids Concert Series is presented by US 99.5 in cooperation with The Chicago Theatre and Duff Entertainment, and will continue on February 21 with Sugarland.
